Best of Show at CES 2012
So, CES 2012 came and went this week. For the most part, nothing extraordinary announced at the show, no game changers. In the words of one blogger, this year was "more evolutionary than revolutionary." There were however a few cool gadgets worth mentioning. Read on for videos and write-ups on the three gadgets that stood out most.
Nokia Lumia 900
This is the resulting product of Microsoft and Nokia joining forces to try to compete with Apple iOS and Google Android. What can be said other than it's a smart phone running windows phone 7.5. It's equipped with 4G LTE connectivity, a 1.4Ghz processor, 4.3" AMOLED touchscreen display, 8 MP camera, all in a 5.6 ounce package. Should be out early to mid 2012. Here's a video for a quick overview:
Samsung OLED 55 TV
This is a sleek new TV from Samsung that's a single pane of glass and packs an awesome picture. Check out this video to see how thin it is:
Lenovo's IdeaPad Yoga
Ultra books are the new buzzword for the category that Apple created a few years back with the MacBook Air. It's really taken this long for the rest of the industry to catch up and offer competitive products in this space. Kind of makes me wonder what Apple will be releasing next.. Anyway, the IdeaPad Yoga is aptly named as it can bend over backwords. Check out the follow CNET video to see how it works:
