An Amazing Little Device
KVMs have been around for many years and as technology evolves, KVMs appear with new types of connectors, more features, and improved functionality. That said, I've been looking for an inexpensive, yet functional solution to sharing a USB keyboard and mouse between two machines. I have a monitor that supports dual input and is easily switched between systems, so that wasn't an issue.
After a few quick searches, I was a bit discouraged when the cheapest USB KVMs I could find were $50 US and up. Until I found the Kensington ShareCentral 2 for USB Device Sharing (K33900US)
Bazinga! This thing is small, inexpensive, and works perfectly to switch my keyboard and mouse between two computers. That's not the only thing you can use it for though, if you wanted to share a printer or scanner, it can do that too. Just consider this an easier way than crawling behind your computer and moving cables.

Synergy = Great Program!
I have always used the Program 'Synergy'.

I find this works very well as I have 2 machines, 1 is for the training videos and the other is hooked up to my cisco rack. I have 2 monitors, so the mouse can just scroll right across from one machine to the other!
Oh yeah, It's Free!
Very Cool!
I have heard about software like that, never actually installed it anywhere yet though. I'll have to give it a try when I need a third computer connected to this rig :)
Thanks for the link!
2+ monitors or multiple laptops
If you have 2 monitors more connected to each desktop or laptops next to each other, it is the best product you can ever have...
only the glitch those computers need to be on the same network...
